Dr. Rabon was born in Johnson City, TN and is proud to serve the people of East Tennessee. He graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2010 with a Double Major in Biology and Sociology. Shortly after he went to Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where he earned his optometric degree in 2015. His interest in Optometry came from his father, Randal Rabon M.D. from the Johnson City Eye Clinic and TLC, at a young age.
Dr. Rabon is a board certified optometric physician and is proficient in the treatment and management of various ocular diseases including Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Dry Eye, “Pink Eye,” Foreign Body Removal and many more. He provides full scope optometry with particular interests in primary eye care, contact lenses, pediatrics and diagnosing and treating eye diseases. Dr. Rabon is also trained in the management of Laser Vision Correction and co-management with the local ophthalmologists including Cataract Extraction and Diabetic Retinopathy.
Dr. Rabon is a member of the Tennessee Optometric Association, the North East Tennessee Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association. He is affiliated with the Johnson City Eye Clinic as well as TLC-Tri Cities Laser Center. Dr. Rabon works with the Tennessee Department of Corrections where he also provides eye care for his patients.
During his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and spending time outdoors on the lake or in the woods.
